David Braun Financial & Insurance Services, Inc. is an independent financial advisory firm serving clients throughout Southern California. We have developed our business by reaching out, nurturing and maintaining close, trusting relationships with each of our clients.

Our mission is to provide strategies for retirement income planning that grow assets while helping to protect against losses from market volatility, taxes, inflation, long-term health care needs, longevity risk, “order of returns” risk and other uncertainties of life.

David D. Braun

Financial Advisor, President

David D. Braun is an independent financial advisor and president of David Braun Financial & Insurance Services, Inc.

David specializes in retirement income planning, wealth preservation and estate planning. For more than 25 years, he has guided hundreds of individuals to successfully retire by helping them make sound financial decisions with insurance and investments and by helping them develop retirement plans tailored to their needs.

David holds California insurance license No. 0678292 and a Series 65 securities license. In addition, he has earned the Chartered Financial Consultant ® (ChFC), Certified Life Underwriter ® (CLU) and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow ® (LUTCF) industry designations.

David focuses on retirement income planning through developing a sound retirement “map” that uses strategies for protecting retirement assets; guarding against potential losses from the many risks of retirement such as market volatility, long-term care episodes, taxes, inflation and longevity risk; and investing wisely for growth to provide for increasing income in retirement.

Originally from Minnesota, David and his wife, Marcia, a teacher who hails from Texas, have lived in Southern California since 1974. They have raised two daughters and enjoy the pleasures of being grandparents.

Mark J. McMahon

Financial Advisor

Mark is a financial advisor with David Braun Financial & Insurance Services, Inc. Mark focuses on developing sustainable and secure retirement income strategies for clients who are approaching retirement or have recently retired, and he also works closely with younger clients and families. As a former Army officer, Mark particularly enjoys advising veterans and military retirees.

Mark has over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, including a leading global asset management firm and a Fortune 500 financial services company. Mark's career in the financial services industry began as an undergraduate intern at the Ontario (CA) branch office for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Before his private sector career, Mark served as a captain on active duty in the U.S. Army.

Mark is an Investment Adviser Representative for securities with our Registered Investment Advisory firm (RIA), Resility Financial, Inc., and adheres to a fiduciary standard, which requires that advice be provided in the client's best interests. He maintains a Series 65 license and is licensed by the State of California to provide insurance (#0K28194).

Mark earned the Retirement Income Certified Professional® designation from The American College of Financial Services in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a BA from Claremont McKenna College.

He lives in Pasadena with his wife and two young daughters. He is an avid runner and occasionally finds time to indulge his other interests including camping, gardening and cooking. He remains a loyal fan of his hometown Seattle sports teams, except when they face the Trojans or Dodgers.

Cindy Posada

Director of Client Services

Prior to joining David Braun Financial & Insurance Services, Cindy worked as an analyst for a consulting firm for nearly 10 years. She has 12 years of customer support experience, working with key executives and a variety of clients ranging from high profile companies to small, family-owned businesses. As director of client services at David Braun Financial & Insurance Services, Inc., Cindy is committed to ensuring that 100% of your interactions result in your total satisfaction. Cindy resides in Chino and enjoys spending her evenings with her husband and their four rescued dogs. She is a loyal New York Giants fan and considers her first game attendance at MetLife Stadium the favorite item she has checked off her bucket list.

Stephanie Arp

Stephanie is the first person you will see when you walk into our office. She will keep all the finer points of office operations running smoothly, while making you feel right at home. She is excited to enter into this new journey with David Braun Financial after having been in customer services roles for 12 years. She lives in Montclair with her husband and two children.

 

Kelli Garfield

Senior Living Advisor

Kelli Garfield is the founder and leader of A Guided Path, an organization committed to assisting families and individuals with making the difficult decisions for elderly loved ones in their lives. Kelli specializes in providing information and help regarding the resources available to families, counseling families on available options, and holding their hand at every step of the process, all without cost to the family (she is paid by the facilities).
